Conditions of Appointment:

  • As part of the selection/recruitment process all applicants may be required to participate in an occupational functional assessment
  • As part of the selection/recruitment process all applicants are encouraged to participate in the organisation’s Influenza Immunisation Program.
  • Volunteer work is offered with Sawtell Catholic Care of the Aged under the terms and conditions of The policies/practices of the organisation
  • All applicants are required to undergo a criminal record check. Following appointment, if an individual is subsequently shown to have a relevant criminal record, this will be considered and the volunteer’s service may no longer be utilised.
  • All volunteers are required to wear an identification name tag at all times while on duty.
  • All volunteers are required to participate in the organisation’s compulsory emergency evacuation, fire drill procedures, infection control, Workplace Health & Safety, manual handling and anti-discrimination education/training.
  • Any discussion or disclosures of records or information concerning clients, residents, and/or employees of Sawtell Catholic Care of the Aged is a serious betrayal of trust and could mean termination of agreement.
  • Sawtell Catholic Care of the Aged facilities are smoke-free workplaces. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas in official meal breaks.
  • All volunteers are required to demonstrate a continuing commitment to the philosophy of Sawtell Catholic Care of the Aged and uphold our values.
